Resource Instructions

I completed this lesson second semester, after we had already taught all 8 Parts of Speech.  I started the week after Spring Break.  On Monday, the students were given a Pop Quiz (I attached my format) to list the 8 Parts of Speech.  Rather than taking a major grade for this, I added points on to their major test.  The quizzes were graded, and the students were then divided into 8 groups.  Each group was assigned a different part of speech.  The students become responsible for preparing an engaging lesson to teach the rest of their peers.

TSW also create 5 multiple choice test questions to be given to the teacher for the major test.

Tuesday and Wednesday were dedicated to the students planning and preparing for their presentaitons or teaching time.

Two groups were assigned to present  each day (Thursday, Friday, Monday, and Tuesday).

Wednesday was used for a review day.

Thursday: 8 Parts of Speech Test (with extra points added from the Pop Quiz)
