There are 3 assets for this resource.
This lesson focuses on Christmas traditions in Germany. It includes links to my full units on Christmas Traditions Around the World.
- "Christmas in Germany" file, which can be found in the "Assets" section.
- "Candy Canes" reading comprehension passage/questions file, which can be found in the "Assets" section. This resource requires beads and pipe cleaners to complete the craft portion of the activity. A specific supply list can be found in the reading passage.
- The 3rd file for download in the "Assets" section is a description of the full version of my Christmas Traditions Around the World Unit product available on the Teacherspayteachers website.
Print out the "Christmas in Germany" file. These 4 full-color pages can be stapled into a book for students to read for background information on German Christmas traditions. Have students read the "Candy Canes" passage, create the candy cane craft, then answer the comprehension questions.
