  • a marker
  • chart paper

Goals:

Students will "recognize and produce rhyming words." --Massachusetts English Language Arts Curriculum Framework

Resource Instructions

Slowly reread the text, allowing students time to identify rhyming words. As they make the connections, use the marker to record the rhymes on the chart paper.

Extensions:

Try the same lesson with any of the other titles in the Sheep in a Jeep series.

Give each student a blank sheet of paper with the text from the book. 

Have them illustrate their page and compile them to create a new classroom book.
